Voting is the most powerful tool we have. They know that, and that’s why they’re trying so hard to take it away. This series explores what we can all do to stop them.
Think about what’s keeping you up at night.
Maybe it’s the price of groceries. Insulin. Whether your rent is going up again next year. Maybe it’s the fear that someone in your community is going to be pulled off the street by agents in unmarked cars with no names and no badges. Maybe it’s what’s happening to your healthcare, your kids’ school, your retirement.
These are life issues, which means they’re election issues.
Voting is how you fix this. All of it.
If you want drug prices to come down, you need elections. If you want federal agents off your streets, you need elections. If you want to retire with some dignity, you need elections. Everything keeping you up at night traces back, eventually, to who we elect.
Which means it all traces back to whether we vote, and to who is allowed to vote. Voting is our way out of this moment.
