This excellent report from Maricopa County is at times harrowing (when describing the county’s plan to protect office workers with snipers positioned on nearby rooftops on Election Day) and humanizing (when interviewing the local Republican election official, who received death threats and lost his primary election because he wasn’t seen as extreme enough on voting issues).
